JAMMU, Aug 26: Dogra Group of Institutions have added another feather in their cap with the inauguration of 10 Meter World Class Shooting Range of General Zorawar Singh Rifle Club (Affiliated to J&K Rifle Association) in Dogra Educational Complex, Bari Brahmana, here.
The presence of Brigadier Rajan Jamwal Group Commander, J&K NCC Group HQ, Jammu and Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak Former Minister, President, Dogra Sadar Sabha & Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust added impetus to the ceremony.
The Chief guest and dignitaries then unveiled the foundation stone of this World Class 10 Meter Shooting Range.
In his presidential remarks, Mr Charak, President, Dogra Sadar Sabha and Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust said that shooting sport has a long tradition in India especially in the Duggar land which is known for producing patriotic and valorous warriors and decorated officers who have a special inclination for putting weapons to use for defending the country’s honour and pride.
Earlier, Director Administration & Campus Development and Joint Secretary General Zorawar Singh Rifle Club, SC Khajuria presented welcome address.
Brigadier Rajan Jamwal while addressing the audience gave a brief on shooting as a sport and its prospects.
Concluding the inaugural ceremony Kr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust and General Secretary General Zorawar Singh Rifle club presented vote of thanks.
The ceremony finally concluded with the National Anthem.
