JAMMU, July 1: A ten day workshop organized by Powergrid Employees Welfare Association (PEWA) on improving the overall communication skills of children of its members concluded today at the community centre of Powergrid here.
The workshop was organized for the children in the age group of 6 to 11 years. The workshop focused on improving the reading and writing skills including grammar skills of children in a play-way manner.
The workshop was conducted by Sonaya Singh, who is an expert in such workshops and has been associated with several institutions of repute such as Ryan International, Mumbai, DPS Jammu and Air Force School Jammu.
Activities like word building games, do you like my sentence, story building and rhymes, picture composition, unscramble the words, speak a minute, songs lyrics were regularly carried out in the workshop.
In addition to these the blooming buds were trained on keeping their rooms clean, organizing their homework, etc.
On the concluding day, SK Sharma, Executive Director, Power Grid, NR-II was the chief guest. He interacted with all the children and expressed his satisfaction on the results of the workshop.
Several senior officers of Power Grid NR-II including R Narayan, Chief Manager (HR) was present on the occasion.
