Wave CC outplays Media XI in Holi Cup Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, Apr 10: Riding on a brilliant bowling display by Prabjot Singh and magnificent knocks by Charandeep Singh and Charanjeet Singh, Wave Cricket Club defeated Media XI by 6 wickets to advance into the next round of the ongoing 2nd Holi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being played at Mandal cricket ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Media XI scored a modest total of 128 runs in 19.1 overs. Vivek Suri top scored with 24 runs, while Faheem Tak and Amit Sudan contributed 19 and 16 runs to the total respectively. For Wave Cricket Club, Prabjot Singh was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 5 important wickets in his 2.1 overs by conceding 12 runs, while Sunny Singh and Balbir Singh claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Wave Cricket Club chased the target in just 11.2 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Charandeep Singh top scored with power-packed 62 runs off 32 balls, while Charanjeet Singh contributed valuable 46 runs of 22 balls. Sunny also chipped in with 14 runs off 8 balls. For Meda XI, Jagdeep Singh and Sachin Jamwal claimed 2 wickets each.
The match was officiated by Virender Singh and Sachin Singh as umpires, while Raj Kumar and Sohan Bharti were the scorer and commentator respectively.
The Tournament is being organized by Rajesh Dhar, Sachin Singh, Mukesh Sharma and Sunil Kumar, under the supervision of Ankush Abrol, Member BCCI.
