JAMMU, Nov 3: A volleyball tournament organized under the Civic Action Programme-2025 of J&K Police culminated today at Battalion Headquarters, JKAP 8th Battalion Miran Sahib, Jammu, under the supervision of Suram Singh (SSP), Commandant JKAP 8th Battalion.
The tournament held from October 24 to November 3, aimed to foster sportsmanship, discipline and strengthen police-public relations. As many as 14 teams from different schools and youth volleyball clubs of the Miran Sahib area participated.
In the Senior Boys category, Simbal Volleyball Club emerged winner, while Shine Club was runner-up. In the Junior Boys category, Bagga Zina Club clinched first place, followed by Mother India Hr. Sec. School R.S. Pura as runner-up.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Suram Singh (SSP), Chanderjeet Singh (SSP, Dy. Commandant), Bhupinder Singh (DySP), Chanchal Singh (DySP), Om Prakash Chib (DySP) and Prabhu Dayal (DySP), who felicitated the winners and encouraged youth participation in sports.
