KISHTWAR, Feb 26: A Volleyball tournament culminated at Dachhan, organized by J&K Police in the memory of Police martyrs, here today.
The tournament was organized under the direction of SSP Kishtwar Khalil Poswal under the banner of Civic Action Programme.
SDPO Marwah Devindar Singh Bandral witnessed the final match of the tournament as chief guest. The final match of the event was played between Soundar-B and Panjdhara in which Soundar-B team emerged victorious. The participants were awarded with cash reward and mementos by the chief guest.
The SSP in his message welcomed all the participants and spectators and said that such type of sports events connects the youths with various ongoing policies of Police Department and asserted that it is the collective responsibility of parents and members as well as civil society organizations and Police to provide platform for the younger generations so that they can exhibit their hidden talent.
