JAMMU, May 16: To celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Art of Giving (AOG), the Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir (VAJK) organized an exhibition Volleyball match between Trikuta Club Jammu and Abyas Volleyball Academy Samba at MA Stadium, Jammu. The event was part of a fortnight-long celebration themed “Neighborhood: Bringing Good to Neighborhood”, aimed at promoting kindness, community involvement, and positivity.
The campaign, which began on May 4 and concludes on May 17, encourages people to engage in acts of compassion and spend quality time with loved ones. The initiative, founded by Prof. Achyuta Samanta-former MP and ex-President of the Volleyball Federation of India-emphasizes sharing professional, social, and moral values to create a self-reliant and harmonious society.
Prominent VAJK officials including H.S Gill (Executive Vice President), Kuldip Magotra (CEO), Ramesh Sharma (Treasurer) and Vijay Magotra (General Secretary) interacted with the players and highlighted the values of AOG.
Players who represented J&K in national events like the Khelo India Youth Games were also felicitated. A similar event was simultaneously held by the Kishtwar District Volleyball Association at Drabshalla to inspire youth through the legacy of AOG. The match drew a large gathering of sports enthusiasts and Volleyball lovers.
