SAMBA, Dec 13: Department of Youth Services and Sports conducted Zonal trials of Volleyball and Kho-Kho under 14, 17 and 19 categories at The Pathseekers International School (TPIS) Ramgarh, here today.
The selection process was held under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer Ramgarh, Chander Prakash in presence of Divya Kotwal, Promila Sharma, Deep Kumar and Sudesh Choudhary, in-charges of trials and Physical Instructor Satpal Sharma from the TPIS.
On the occasion, SSP (Retd) Bhupinder Singh, chairman of the School was the chief guest. He said that such events may boost the morale of youth and provide a platform to flourish their hidden talent.
Singh appealed the youth to stay away from drugs as it ruins lives, families and societies. He advised the youth to follow their dreams and work as messengers of peace for Jammu and Kashmir. “Youth has power for change and they should use their energy in positive activities, so that peaceful and prosperous J&K is realised where there would be no place for destruction,” Singh added.
