KARGIL, Dec 13: Ladakh Olympic Association Kargil today elected seven members executive body by holding fresh election in a meeting, held under chairmanship of former secretary of the Association, Mohd Sadiq, National Archer at Baba Complex, here today.
During the election, Ajaz Hussain Munshi has been elected as president of the Association, whereas Kacho Shamim Ahmad, Gulzar Ahamad Khan, Manzoor Hussain, Syeed Sadiq, Qalbi Ali and Ghulam Mustafa have been elected as general secretary, special secretary, technical advisor, cashier, publicity secretary and chief organiser of the Association respectively.
Mohd Hussain Rehnuma, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Kargil attended the meeting as observer.
Earlier, all the former executive members put their resignation before the presidents and representatives of different Sports Associations of district Kargil.
Mohd Ibrahim Shoqi conducted the proceeding of the meeting while Sadiq Ali Shalti welcomed the participants in the meeting wherein more than 35 Sports Associations from all Blocks of the Kargil district participated.
Newly elected president, Ajaz Hussain Munshi said that he and his team would work for the betterment of sports facilities and infrastructures in the district.
