Vivek lifts Veteran 45+ Singles title; Aesh wins U-17 Boys Singles

JAMMU, Sept 7: Organized by Jammu City and District Badminton Association, Jammu District Badminton C’ship concluded today at police badminton hall, police line, here today.
In an impressive function, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh, who was the chief guest on the occasion, distributed prizes among the winners and runner ups.
Earlier, the Veteran 45+ Doubles was won by Vivek-Ramesh, who thrashed their opponent, Sunil-Anil in the finals whereas Veteran 55+ Doubles title was lifted by Anil-Sunil, who beat Balbir-Prem by 21-16, 21-19 in the final clash.
In the finals of Under-15 Boys Single, Aesh trounced Yashdeep by 21-12 and 21-10 whereas in Under-15 Boys Doubles, Yash-Vidhan defeated Aesh-Hardik by 21-14 and 21-09. In Under-15 Girls Singles final, Naman crushed Rashmi by 21-15 and 21-09.
The Under-17 Boys Singles title was won by Aesh, who beat Mohit by 14-21, 21-19 and 21-09 in the finals while Under-19 Girls Singles title was lifted by Peehushi, who thrashed Niteshi by 21-16 and 21-18 in the final clash.
In Veteran 35+ Doubles final, Gurvinder-Lalit beat Rahul-Avnish by 21-16 and 21-18 whereas the title of Veteran 45+ Singles was lifted by Vivek, who trounced Daljit in the final clash by 21-19 and 21-18.
