JAMMU, Mar 26: Vishal Jammu Kings registered first win in the ongoing 5-Match Cricket Evaluation Series for junior cricketers which is being played at Parade ground, here.
The cricket series for junior cricketers in which Jammu Rising Stars and Vishal Jammu Kings are participating is being organized by Jammu Sports Council and J&K Sports Promoters Club Jammu.
The slogan of the tournament is “Sports Shall Live On…”.
Earlier, Vishal Jammu Kings made 149 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 30 overs. Abhay Tandon top scored with 34 runs, while Ragav Thakur contributed 32 runs. Akshit and Kannav chipped in with 25 runs each.
From Jammu Rising Stars, Agastaya took 2 wickets, Umer Sadiq, Jugjap Singh, Ashim Nanda and Adishwer shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Jammu Rising Stars managed to score 139 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, thus lost the match by 10 runs. Rohan Gill top scored with 27 runs, while Arya Suvansh contributed 21 runs. Adhishwer and Laith August also contributed 19 and 13 runs to the total respectively. From Vishal Jammu Kings, Praful Dhar, Nalin and Aditpal Singh shared 2 wickets each, while Abhay Tandon claimed 1 wicket. Abhay Tandon was declared as man of the match.
Sandeep Manchanda, Sanjay and Vinod Kandyara were the officials in today’s match.
