Vishal Cricket Club, KCCC script wins in Winter Shield T20 Cup

JAMMU, Mar 26: Vishal Cricket Club and KCCC registered wins over their rivals in the ongoing Winter Shield T20 Cup, being organized by SCA, J&K Sports Council under the supervision of Dr Naseem Choudhary, Secretary J&K Sports Council.
In the first match, Vishal Cricket Club defeated Eleven Stars Jammu in a thrilling contest via super over.
Batting first, Vishal Cricket Club scored 120 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Rajesh Gill (28), Rohan Gill (21) and Rakesh Koul (18) were the main scorers. From Eleven Stars, Irshad took 3 wickets while Ajay, Adil, Ranju and Rahul claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Eleven Star Jammu also scored 120 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets, thus the match was decided in super over. Adil, Irshad and Anand Tripathi contributed 29, 26 and 25 runs to the total respectively.
From Vishal, Rakesh Koul and Rohit took 2 wickets each, while Rajesh Gill, Raman and Sandesh claimed 1 wicket each.
In super over Eleven Stars Jammu made 8 runs and in reply Vishal Cricket Club chased the target in 5 balls thus won the match. Rajesh Gill was declared as the man of the match.
In another match, KCCC defeated RCC by 6 wickets.
Batting first, RCC scored 140 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Neeraj and Vinod scored 35 and 34 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Manik took 2 wickets, while Soumay Jain and Kunal claimed 1 wicket each. In reply, KCCC chased the target in 16 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Jatin and Bandeep contributed unbeaten 48 and 40 runs, while Ansh scored 15 runs. From RCC, Rajesh took 3 wickets and Sajad claimed 1 wicket. Jatin was declared as the man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Vijay, Dayal and Ashok Kumar.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Shining Star Doda will take on Diamond Cricket Club at 9.30 am, while Champion Cricket Club will lock horns with KC Academy at 1 pm.
