Vinod’s splendid inning of 107 runs help Little Flower School to register win over City Riders

JAMMU, June 14: Splendid inning of 107 runs off 61 balls by Vinod Mangotra helped Little Flower School Akhnoor to register win over City Riders Akhnoor and to seal berth in the next stage of the ongoing 8th Pawan Memorial Cricket Tournament, being organized by Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Little Flower School Akhnoor set a target of 195 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Vinod Mangotra played a magnificent inning of 107 runs off 61 balls including three balls over the fence and 17 balls towards the fence. Aakarsh chipped in 36 runs off 28 balls including seven boundaries and Rajesh Sharma made 12 runs.
For City Riders Akhnoor side, Rohan and Mukesh took one wicket apiece.
In the second inning, City Riders collapsed at 175 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs and paved way for Little Flower School Akhnoor to sail into the next stage by registering 20 runs win. Ashwani was the top scorer with 35 runs, while Rohan made 30 runs and Sandy scored 15 runs.
For Little Flower School Akhnoor side, Rajinder Sharma and Divya took 2 wickets each, while Rajesh, Sunil and Sahil Pawar shared one wicket apiece.
Vinod Mangotra of Little Flower School Akhnoor was adjudged as Man of the Match for his glorious batting performance.
The match was officiated by Deepak Mangotra and Dayal Singh as umpires, while Ashu Mangotra maintained the scoreboard.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Street Warriors will lock horns with Singh Bataira at 2 pm.
The tournament is being organized under the overall supervision of Sham Singh Langeh, President Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor.
