JAMMU, May 14: Vimarsh Kaw and Akash Choudhary with their brilliant performances guided KCC Club to register berth in the final of the ongoing 2nd Holi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament at Phalian Mandal Cricket ground, here.
In the first semis, KCC Club defeated Khalsa Cricket Club (KCC) by 7 wickets and sealed berth in the final of the tournament.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, KCC scored 163 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Sachin was the top scorer with 55 runs off 36 balls, while Harinder and Vishal made 43 and 29 runs respectively.
For KCC Club side, Akash Choudhary was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 3 wickets by conceiving 25 runs in his 4 overs spell. Soumya Jain scalped 2 wickets, while Manik Gupta took one wicket.
In reply, KCC Club chased the target in 15.5 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Vimarsh Kaw played a splendid inning of 68 runs off 38 balls, while Ankush Bandral chipped in 54 runs off 40 balls and Randeep Kumar made 18 runs.
For KCC side, Narinderpal Singh, Sachin and Kewal scalped one wicket apiece.
Ankush Bandral was declared as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Virender Singh and Babloo Bhat as umpires, while Raj Kumar maintained the scorecard. The commentator was Sohan Bharti.
The chief guest of the match was Sanjay Gupta, while Rajesh Gupta was guest of honour.
The Tournament is being organized by Mukesh Sharma, Sachin Singh and Sunil Kumar under the chairmanship of Ankush Abrol, Member BCCI.
