KATHUA, Dec 21: Vicky XI Pathankot and Sandhu Cricket Club Ludhiana registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing 7th Police Martyrs Memorial North Zone Inter Club T20 Cricket Championship at Sports Stadium, here today.
In the 9th match of the Championship, Jammu XI Club Jammu won the toss and choose to bat first. Batting first, Jammu XI Club scored a paltry total of 94 runs in 18.4 overs. Aditya Partap Singh scored 29 runs off 29 balls. Kishani and Sukha of Vicky XI Pathankot were the successful bowlers who took 4 and 03 wickets respectively.
Vicky XI Pathankot chased the target easily by losing 7 wickets in 16.2 overs . Rohan was the top scorer with 25 runs off 30 balls including 4 boundaries. Kishani was declared as man of the match and was presented a cash prize of Rs. 2100 and a trophy by Baba Sidhgoria.
In another match, Stadium Junior XI Kathua won the toss and decided to bat first and set a target of 120 runs by Losing 7 wickets in 20 Overs. Anuj and Sandeep of Stadium Junior XI Kathua were scored 42 and 29 runs respectively.
Rubaljit Singh and Palla of Sandhu cricket Club Ludhiana were the main successful bowlers who took 4 wickets each . Sandhu Cricket Club Ludhiana chased the target easily by losing 4 wickets in 15.2 overs. Ankit and Palla scored 46 and 43 runs respectively. Pushkar and Abhi of Stadium Junior XI Kathua were took 2 and 01 wicket resepctively. Palla who scored 43 runs and took 2 wickets was declared as man of the match and received a cash prize of Rs. 2100 and a trophy by Shaheed Welfare Committee Kathua.
