JAMMU, Oct 2: The squash court at Jammu Club witnessed a momentous occasion this weekend as Superpositivity Movement founder Vickrant Mahajan created a Guinness World Record for most squash volleys in one hour.
He had to surpass 750 volleys to create the new record but he hit 2,005 volleys within the stipulated time to comfortably create a new Guinness World Record.
According to the rules, the ball had to be hit every time from behind the short line and below the out line to be qualified as a legitimate volley.
The event was witnessed by Dr Vikram Handa, Director, Tiny Tots and Latisha Blowria, eminent fitness model, among many other squash afficionados. Vickrant said. “More youth in J&K must turn to sport, art and physical fitness to harness their energy positively, and I truly hope my endeavours inspire them to do so.” This is Vickrant’s 35th Guinness World Record in 2016 and he is well on his way to create 100 by December 31 this year.
