Veteran Cup: RSCC beats Surinder CC, enters finals

JAMMU, July 18: Rajesh Salhotra Cricket Club (RSCC) trounced Surinder Cricket Club (SCC) by four wickets and entered in the finals of the ongoing Veteran Cup, being played at KC Sports Club Ground, here today.
Batting first, the SCC gave the target of 133 runs in stipulated 20 over match by losing all wickets. Anil Tiger made highest 39 runs, Parveen scored 19 runs and Ajay Salhotra and Raju contributed 15 runs each to the total. From bowling side, Sumit took three important wickets, while Kingji Jairaj and Turkey bagged two wickets each for their team.
In reply, Rajesh Salhotra CC chased the target in 17.4 overs by losing only six wickets and thus registered the emphatic win over SCC by four wickets. Sumit made highest 57 runs, while Munna and Turkey contributed 15 and 18 runs respectively. Sumit was declared as man of the match.
