Varmul Gindo 2025 concludes

BARAMULLA, July 14: The grand finals of Volleyball, Kabaddi and Karate were held today as part of Varmul Gindo 2025 at Showkat Ali Indoor Stadium, drawing over 1000 enthusiastic spectators.
In Volleyball, Amargarh Volleyball Club defeated Uri Volleyball Club to win the boys’ title, while KIC Srinagar emerged victorious against KIC Baramulla in the girls’ final. Both matches featured 28 skilled participants each.
The Senior Men’s Kabaddi final saw Harmukh Warriors clinch a hard-fought win over United North Kashmir, with 24 athletes competing in a gripping contest. Karate events included 16 matches and 25 participants. Results are currently being compiled and will be announced shortly. At the GDC Ground, the football match between Hyder FC and Dash FC began at 5:30 PM with 24 players and 180-200 spectators present.
The events were graced by Brigadier Rajat Mohan Bhatt, Commander 19 Artillery Brigade, as chief guest. Other dignitaries included Altaf Ahmed (ADC), Tariq Ahmed Chalkoo (Principal, GDC) and Zahoor Ahmed Wani (DYSSO).
With 184 athletes and over 1250 attendees, the day’s success reflected the rising enthusiasm and community engagement fostered through Varmul Gindo 2025.
