REASI, Mar 16: UT level Inter-District Fencing Championship for Boys and Girls, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports, concluded at Indoor Sports Complex, here today.
District Informatics Officer (NIC), Ashish Dogra was the chief guest and said that winning a game is not a big deal but after losing to make sure that you will move on and get the next one, that’s the true sportsman spirit.
The tournament was organized under the supervision of DYSSO Reasi, Swarn Singh.
In sabre under-17, Harshit and Vaibhav won gold and silver, while Anshhav and Vishal shared bronze medal, while in foil category, top two medals were secured by Rakshit and Chanakaya, while Aditya and Bhanu shared bronze medal and in epee under-17, top two medals were won by Ranku and Vansh, while Assil and Musaib shared bronze medal, besides in sabree under-19, Sachin and Tarun got gold and silver, while Vbhal and Roht shared bronze medal, while in foil boys under-19, Raman Deep and Tanmay clinched top two medals, while Rahil and Shagun shared bronze and in epee boys under-19, Aditya and Assar Bajaj won gold and silver respectively and Nazakat and Yasir shared bronze medal.
The matches were officiated by the panel of technical experts including Ujwal Gupta, Shaifali Gupta, Arun Dev Singh, Anoop Jyoti, Goutam Kundal, Rajesh Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Javed Amhed, Ashok Kumar, Saroj Bala, Devinder Kour, Mohd Rayaz, Uttam Singh and Sanjay Kumar.
