UT level Archery C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Feb 20: Three days long J&K UT Archery Championship, organized by Archery Association of J&K under the aegis of J&K Sports Council & J&K Olympic Association, culminated at J&K Police Sports Complex at Gulshan Ground, here today.
Around 100 Archers from different districts participated in the championship.
Jugal Kishore Sharma (MP/President Archery Association of J&K) was the chief guest, whereas Dr Ashutosh Sharma vice president Indian Olympic Association & president JKOA was the guest of honour.
Sunaina Devi of Reasi (141/150) got Gold medal, whereas Munisha Aggarwal (139/150) secured Silver and Deepa Shah of Kishtwar (138/150) clinched bronze medal.
In senior compound men, Amit Thakur of Jammu (147/150) bagged Bronze medal, Mukesh Kumar (142/150) of Jammu won Silver medal and Shubham Sharma of Jammu (145/150) secured Gold medal, whereasUsha Devi (Udhampur) secured four Gold medals in Indian Round Senior and Pariv Khajuria (Udhampur) won three Gold medals, six Silver and one Bronze medal.
In overall trophy, Reasi got 95 points, Jammu secured 93 points and Udhampur bagged 97 points.
Kiran Wattal, vice president Gymnastic Federation of India, Rajan Sharma secy J&K Boxing Association, Ravinder Singh president J&K Cycling Association, Jatinder Kumar Gupta Commandant 6th Bn CRPF, Sandeepan ji Maharaj, Vikas Gupta (joint secretary J&K Olympic Association) and many others were present during the event.
The championship was officiated by Darshana Devi, Simmi Sharma, Aman Sargral, Sahil Sharma and Madhv Pal Singh, whereas the event was organized under the chairmanship of Sunil Sharma (senior vice president) Archery Association of J&K and Vikas Gupta (organising secretary).
