UT level 1st Beach Wrestling C’ship on Aug 17

JAMMU, Aug 12: Wrestling Association of Jammu and Kashmir is going to organise 1st J&K UT level Beach Wrestling Championship on ‘Mud’ rather than wrestling mats at Bajrangi Akhara Shalamar on August 17.
This is the first time that Wrestling Federation of India is organising 1st Senior Beach Men and Women national Wrestling Championship which is scheduled to be held at Beach Resort Complex of Tamil Nadu Tourist Development Corporation Limited, East Coast Road Mammallapuram from August 29 to 30 in four weight categories.
In the men’s section, the weight categories are 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg and plus 90 kg whereas in the women’s section, the competition will be organised in 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg and plus 70 kg.
All the wrestlers desirous to take part in this championship are being requested to report at Bajrangi Akhara Shalamar Road Jammu on August 17 for weighing along with Aadhar card and DoB certificate issued by the Competent Authority of J&K.
