Tennis Ball Night Cricket Tourney

SAMBA, Apr 2: University XI defeated Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) by five wickets in the ongoing Tennis Ball Night Cricket Tournament, organised by the local youth at High School Jatwal, here today.
After winning toss, JCC elected to bat first and scored 104 runs in stipulated 12 overs, whereas the opponent team (University-XI) chased the target by losing five wickets and registered five wickets win over the JCC. Kapil was declared as man of match for his all-round performance as he scored 33 runs off 26 balls and clinched two important wickets.
Brother of martyr Lieutenant Susheel Khajuria, Lieutenant Colonel Anil Khajuria was the chief guest of the event.
In his address, he appreciated the efforts of the organisers and encouraged the youth to keep themselves physically fit by participating in different sports activities.
Ashwani Sharma, Raj Kumar, Rajesh Sharma, Rishu, Arjun, Gopi, Raman Kumar, Rahul Sharma and Neeraj were among the organisers of the tournament.
About 32 teams are taking part in the tournament.
