JAMMU, Dec 18: A Career Fair was organized today for students of KC Public School by Univariety, a reputed career guidance and counselling agency in India. All the students from classes 9 to 12 visited the fair organized inside KC Sports Club from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and gained deep insight into a wide range of career options in engineering, medicine, business management and humanities.
The fair was divided into two segments. On the ground floor hall of the Club, students of classes 11 and 12 studying medical and non-medical streams of Science, Commerce and Humanities were given career counselling and guidance by experts from various national and international universities.
In the indoor cricket hall of the Club, several well-known universities from India and abroad had set up their stalls from where they dispensed information about their courses of study, admission procedures, fee structures, scholarship information etc. through brochures and other printed materials.
A large number of students and parents milled around each stall and sought guidance and advice from the representatives of these universities manning their stalls.
One of the major highlights of the career fair was an interactive session conducted by the alumni of KC Public School Ritvik Mahajan, Pranav Sareen and Anirudh Virdi who took out their valuable time to share their career stories with fellow KCeans. Some of the major universities those participated were Ashoka University, Amity University, University of Lethbridge Canada, Kings College University, Sharada University, UPES, Bennett etc. to name a few.
The students were very happy to avail of the opportunity to get acquainted with several career options and thanked Univariety for arranging a successful Career Fair in their school.
