Udhampur eves emerge Kh-Kho Champions, Reasi runners-up

REASI, Sept 30: A 2-Day Divisional Level Inter-District Kho-Kho Tournament for Girls Under-14, 17 and under-19 years concluded at General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium here today.
On this occasion, Romesh Chander, Additional District Development Commissioner Reasi was the chief guest and Mohinder Sharma was the special guest.
While speaking at the occasion, the Chief Guest urged upon the personnel of Physical Education that it is their first and foremost duty to go for talent hunt at the very grass-root level and then groom them to their fullest potential.
Earlier, Dr Swaran Singh Chib, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Reasi briefed the Chief Guest about the tournament in which 6 teams drawn from Jammu Province took part.
The tournament was organized under the umbrella of Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K.
Narayan Singh, Ashnak Sharma, Balwan Singh, Romesh Chander, Harpreet Kour, Goutam Kundal and Mohd Riaz officiated the matches of the tournament.
Udhampur got the better of Reasi in both under-14 and under-17 group finals whereas Samba claimed the top spot in under-19 category.
Earlier, Under-19 Section, Samba beat Kathua by 7-4. The first innings score was 5-2, while Under-17 Section, Udhampur drubbed Reasi by 4-3. The first innings score was 2-2 and in Under-19 Section, Samba prevailed over Kathua by 7-4. The first innings score was 5-2.
