JAMMU, July 5: United Cricket Club (UCC) registered win over Gazers XI by 19 runs and sailed into the next round of the ongoing Jammu Tawi Summer-T-20 Premier League, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Club at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
Batting first, UCC scored 95 runs for all out in 17 overs. Shantanu Gupta was top scorer with 21 runs, while Shahrukh made 20 runs. Abhishek Khajuria and Prince scored 15 and 9 runs respectively.
From Gazers XI side, Anshul and Kush scalped 4 wickets each.
In reply, Gazers XI failed to chase the target and bundled out at 76 runs for all out in 15 overs. Rakshit made 26 runs, while Puneet and Arun scored 10 runs each.
From UCC side, Prince was the pick of the bowler with 4 wickets, while Shantanu and Bodh Raj took 2 wickets each.
Prince of UCC was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Sanju as umpires, while Sandeep manchanda maintained the scoreboard.
In tomorrow’s fixture, KC Sports Club will lock horns with Manwal Cricket Club.
