Two members of Cricket Club among 3 facing criminal case

JAMMU, Apr 25: For committing offences punishable under Sections 468, 471 and 120-B RPC, the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Jammu filed criminal case against three persons namely Surinder Singh, Desh Rattan Dubey and Syed Sohail Qazmi in the case of Sudershan Mehta and Sandeep Gupta versus Surinder Singh and other two.
“In the light of discussions held here in before it has surfaced that accused persons namely Surinder Singh, Son of Sardha Singh Jaswal, Desh Rattan Dubey, son of Roop Lla Dubey and Sayeed Sohail Qazmi, son of Sayeed Maqbool Qazmi alongwith the list of witness and documents with the request before the Hon’ble Court to initiate proceedings against above 3 persons under sections 468, 47 and 120-B RPC. None of the said persons have been arrested in the instant case, ” Court observed.
The brief facts of the case are that a complaint duly endorsed by Ld Munsif Mobile Magistrate Jammu was received in Crime Branch Jammu, wherein the complainants have alleged that they are the sole proprietors of Modern Cricket Club and Shastri Cricket Club respectively and alleged accused persons in connivance with each other nursed an illegal objective of seizing the name and style of the said organizers of the Clubs i.e. Modern Cricket Club and Shastri Cricket Club from the actual organizers of the Clubs. The accused in order to fulfill their illegal wrongful objective sought the registration of said two clubs in their own favour. The accused while processing their claim for registration screened away the information of this proposed registration from the notice of the complainants and also from the general public and manipulated with Maqbool Qazmi, Printer and Published Daily Taskeen, Dalpatian Mohalla for facilitating the publication of the notice of proposed registration of said two Clubs in the Daily Taskeen dated 19.09.2003 in an addition which was never meant, but only was purposed order to submit before the registrar of societies for the purpose of registration.
