Two day ‘On the Spot Painting Competition’ commences

JAMMU, Jan 15: Two day “On the Spot Painting Competition” organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages commenced today at Kala Kendra.
On the first day of the competition, about 150 students in the age group of upto 11 years from different school and institutions participated and displayed their talent.
During prize distribution ceremony, three equal prizes of Rs 500 each in infant group were bagged by Tanishka Mahajan of St Joseph Convent School, Nagrota, Shloka Sharma of Air Force School, Satwari and Chirag Khanna of DPS School, Jammu.
The Certificates of Merit were presented to Shaiste of Co-operative Public High School, Rahil Hussain and Prianshu of Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Ipsita Mahajan of Sanfort School, Ritu Das of DBN Vidya Mandir and Niharika Bassey of Army Public School, Miran Sahib.
First prize of Rs 700 in Junior group was presented to Anmol of GD Goenka Public School, second prize of Rs 500 was bagged by Saday Samnotra of Heritage School. The three equal prizes of Rs 300 each went to Hirdeshte Mahajan of Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Ridhi Prabhakar of Heritage School and Tanvi Sharma of GD Goenka School.
The certificates of merit were awarded to Nandini Abrol of Air Force School, Jasleen Kour of J&K Police Public School, Manpreet Kour of Shiksha Niketan, Aryan Saproo of DBN Vidya Mandir, Swapnila Acharya of JK Public School Kunjwani, Divya Gupta of St Peter School and Uddhav Pratap Vohra of KV No. 1, Jammu.
In the competition, National reputed Artists Harsh Vardan and Rohit Verma were the adjudicators, while Dr Sudhir Mahajan was the incharge.
