JAMMU, Dec 21: The Jammu & Kashmir Tug-of-War Association under the presidentship of Hardeeep Singh Anand has selected teams to participate in the 20 Sub Junior, 31th Junior Mix (men & women) and 16th Senior Federation Cup (men & women) National Tug-of -War Championships being held from December 26 to 30, at Sholingur in Tamil Nadu.
The teams were selected by S.Hardeep Singh Anand, president of the Association, Jodh Singh Isher, Working Secretary , Jasvir Singh, Joint Secretary J&K Tug-of-War Association, under the supervision of J&K Sports Council Screening Committee members comprising of Haji Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer and Ravi Kumar, Divisional Sports Officers and various committee members at Green Field, Gandhi Nagar, here.
The selected players for 20th Sub Junior 500 kg mix (men & women) included Chahat Mahajan, Deepika Sharma, Sneha Devi, Ritika Tandon, Amrita Saini, Manpreet singh, Peerzada Abhzar , Ranjot Singh, Peerzada Imran Inayat and Mintazir Muzafar.
The selected players for 31th junior men 520 kg mix (men & women) included Tanisha Charak, Pavitra, Prachi Sharma, Dechen Choskith, Muskan Mehra, Vikalp, Sanchit, Faizan Altaf, Shubam Manzoor and Vishesh Choudhary.
The selected players for 16th Senior Federation 560 kg mix (men & women) included Vishali Sharma, Rajani, Aakankhsa, Arti, Kajal, Narinder Singh, Santok Raj, Shahnawz, Vikas and Farqam Ahmad.
The selected players for 16th Senior Federation 600kg men included Abhi Choudhary, Bilal Ahmed, Parvaiz, Shakel Ahmed, Antriksh, Manzoor, Rahul, Nazakat, Govind and Ayaz ahmad.
The selected players for 16th Senior Federation 600 kg men included Sukhvinder Singh, Aadil Hussain, Shivan Raina, Jashan Singh, Zahoor Gulzar, Mohd Naseem, Shivam Sharma, Amjad Ali, Israr Ahma and Tawseef Ahmad.
Gourav Kumar Dubey, Robin Singh, Kiran Kumari, Kosar Jaan and Sourav Kumar are accompanying the teams as coaches & managers.
Mr Anand distributed kits among the players before the Departure which were sponsored by M/S Trans Asia Hotels Pvt Ltd Unit Cygnett Park Asia, Jammu.
