KARGIL, Oct 10: Executive Councillor for Health Mohsin Ali today inaugurated trials for 5th Elite National Women’s Boxing Championship at Boxing Rink SAI Centre, here today.
The upcoming national championship is scheduled to be held at Haryana from October 20 to 27.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kargil Muhammad Hussain Rehnuma, president Qurash and Qazaqurash Association of Ladakh and general secretary District Olympic Association Kargil Syed Mehrajuddin Shah, general secretary Ladakh Taekwondo Association Anayat Ali, general secretary Wushu Association Ladakh Safdar Ali and Sadiq Shalti Senior Archery coach and Shabir Hussain vice president Ladakh Amateur Boxing Association were present on the occasion.
About eight senior players from both the districts are participating in the camp.
Mohsin Ali congratulated the Ladakh Armateur Boxing Association for conducting regular trials and sending players for nationals time and again. He assured that he will take up the issue of Sports Association and funding related development of sports activities in the district with the CEC, LAHDC, Kargil.
