JAMMU, Feb 9: Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School, Sainik Colony celebrated its Annual-cum-Sports Day in the School premises, here.
Raman Bhalla, Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture was the chief guest on the occasion, while Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi, Minister of State for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control was the special guest and the guests of honour included Navin Aggarwal, Director General Youth Services and Sports and Vijay Gupta, Member State Sports Council.
Earlier, Gurpreet Handa, Director of the School presented welcome address.
The chief guest declared the programme open by lighting the torch which was carried around the field by Krishna Mohan Zutshi.
The guard of honour was presented by contingent of different houses led by the Head Boy and the Head Girl of the School.
The finals of various Athletic events were held during the day.
Students in tricolor performed their aerobic exercises in a beautifully coordinated manner.
Students of Handa College of Education belonging to various States of the country also participated in various races and cultural items.
The Principal of the School, Dr Vikram Handa in his annual report highlighted achievements of the School in academics and other curricular activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Bhalla lauded the efforts of School Management for organizing such events assured them of all possible help from his side.
Navin Aggarwal, Director General Youth Services and Sports highlighted the importance of sports and games in ones life.
Kiran Zutshi presented a vote of thanks.
