JAMMU, May 3: Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School, Roop Nagar, in collaboration with Nari Shakti Sangathan, organized a symposium to honour Maharani Ahilya Bai Holkar, a visionary ruler and symbol of women’s empowerment.
Mamta Singh, President of Nari Shakti Sangathan, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of gender equality and social justice. “Ahilya Bai’s life exemplifies the power of women when they are empowered and respected,” she stated. Dr. Shalini, Organizing Secretary, spoke about Ahilya Bai’s remarkable achievements and urged students to draw inspiration from her life.
The event was also graced by Dr. Bhawana Salathia, Deputy Secretary; Dr. Richa Kothari, Professor at Central University Jammu; and Dr. Bhawana Mishra, Registrar at SMVDU.
Outstanding students were honoured for their performances. Adhiti Sharma secured the first prize, Karan Singh was second, and Khyati Sharma bagged the third. Consolation prizes were awarded to Kashvi Gupta, Peehu Sharma, Sarthak Gupta, Aman, Vanshika, Daksha Jad, and Insha Mahi Jaffar. The program included a special dance performance and a skit. Director Deepali Handa delivered the vote of thanks, thanking guests, speakers, and participants for making the event a success.
