Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament concludes

RAJOURI, May 7: Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament, organized by Rajouri Police under Civic Action Programme concluded yesterday evening in Nowshera area.
The Tournament was organized at Sports Stadium Nowshera and in the final match, Dream Cricket Club Nowshera defeated DCC in a nail biting finish by 1 wicket.
For Dream Cricket Club Kashish Kapoor played a match winning knock as he hit two huge sixes in last two balls of the match when his team needed 12 runs in two balls.
Earlier, after winning the toss Dream Cricket Club put DCC into bat. DCC scored 162 runs in the allotted 15 overs.
Dheeraj was the main scorer for DCC, while Tony claimed 4 wickets for Dream Club.
Chasing the target, Dream Club made a very poor start by losing 4 wickets for just 14 runs, however, a match winning partnership between Kashish (70) and Ankush (40) gave stability to the innings. Mirza was most successful bowler for DCC who took 4 wickets in 3 overs.
Kashish was adjudged as the man of the match and man of the series.
The match was officiated by Sardar Kuldeep Singh and Rommy Choudhary, while Pankaj Thakur maintained  the score book.
DIG Rajouri Poonch Range,  Deepak Kumar Slathia was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed the prizes among the participants.
He also appreciated the ASP Nowshera, SDPO Nowshera and SHO Nowshera for organizing such a good Tournament.
Tournament was organised by District Police Rajouri.
Veteran cricketer Mr. Rakesh Choudhary conducted the proceedings of the programme.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sunit Singh and Suresh Nagyal, Tehsildar Nowshera and Qila Darhal respectively, Anil Gujral, Principal, GHSS.
The Police officers present on the occasion included Additional SP Nowshera, Master Popsi, SHO Nowshera Karan Chalotra and SI Ashish Chowdhary.
