JAMMU, May 3: Technical knowledge dissemination week organized by IECS Polytechnic concluded here today.
On the occasion, extension lecture for the students of Electronic and Communication Engineering and IT Engg. was organized. The Lecture was conducted by a team of experts from Circle Telecom centre BSNL, Jammu.
Brajesh Sharma, Principal, CTC, Bantalab gave valuable speech on Fibre optic communication and Recent technologies in Telecommunication sector. After this, Er. R.J Bala Subramanyan, Technical expert, CTC, starts an ice breaking session on “Recent Technologies in Telecommunication. This session made the gathering very interactive and energetic. He covers all telecommunication techniques like 2G, 3G, CDMA, WLL, etc.
Industrial visits were also conducted for the students of Civil Engg. Deptt., in which students accompanied by Er. Preeti Sundan and Er. Amit Gupta visited at Sewerage Treatment Plant Bhagwati Nagar, where Er. Vinod and Er. Vikas Mengi guided the students and explained various operations involved in treatment of sewage practically.
Final year student of Civil Engg.,Deptt. also visited Baghliar Hydro Power Station, Chanderkote. Prof. K.G Gupta, Principal IECS Polytechnic appreciated the efforts of Training & Placement cell for conducting these kinds of activities.
Ajay Jamwal, Dean Administration asserted that such visits will be very informative and exhaustive in nature which provided maximum exposure to Polytechnic students.
