JAMMU, Jan 30: Tanishta Cricket Club Jammu defeated Young Star Cricket Club Katra by 5 wickets in the ongoing Sadbhavana Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Reasi Cricket Club at Sports Stadium, Reasi.
Earlier, batting first, Young Star Club scored 103 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Ajeet, Rajesh and Sanjay scored 25, 17 and 16 runs to the total respectively. For Tanishta CC, Muzamil was the pick of the bowlers, who scalped 4 important wickets, while Kuldeep Kumar took 2. Ramdayal and Paras Sharma claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Tanishta Club chased the target in 15.5 overs by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Ishan was the top scorer with 39 runs, while Sandeep and Rahul contributed 22 and 13 runs to the total respectively. Extras contributed 14 runs to the total. For Young Star Club, Mukesh took 2 wickets, while Rahul, Sunny and Rajesh shared one wicket apiece. Muzamil of Tanishta Club was declared man of the match for his superb bowling show.
The match was officiated by Shubam and Baneet as umpires, while Madan Thakur was the scorer.
