Tanish, Anmol win TT doubles title at KC Sports Club

JAMMU, Oct 24: After hosting a Table Tennis tournament in singles, KC Sports Club organized competition in doubles category, here.
After the preliminary knock-out matches, the first quarter final match was played between the pairs of Tanish and Anmol and Anish and Vishesh.
The duo of Tanish and Anmol ousted their opponents in straight sets by 11-03, 11-08. The second quarterfinal match between Karan and Abhinav and Ayush and Pravav also ended in straight sets, wherein Karan and Abhinav trounced their rivals by 11-04, 11-09. In the third quarterfinal, Nakul and Nikhil trounced their opponents Kuldeep and Tushar by 11-07, 11-08 in straight sets.
In the semifinals, Nakul and Nikhil played well to win the third deciding game by 11-06, 03-11, 11-03 against the pair of Karan and Abhinav. Tanish and Anmol made it to the final on the basis of their better score percentage.
The final between Tanish and Anmol and Nakul and Nikhil turned out to be long 5 setter with both pairs playing their best to outclass their opponents. With lots of ups and downs during the final clash, Tanish and Anmol eventually grabbed the championship with a score of 08-11, 11-07, 09-11, 14-12 and 15-13.
