Taekwondo C’ship concludes at Doda

DODA, Dec 13: Two day Taekwondo Championship, organised by District Doda Taekwondo Association headed by Burhan Ud Din Khan (secretary DDTA) in collaboration with Youth Services and Sports, concluded at Community Hall, here today.
The event was designed for the selection of upcoming J&K UT level Taekwondo championship wherein around 200 players participated.
The overall team trophy was clinched by Shield Taekwondo Academy, while Chenab Sports Academy remained at 2nd place and the best active participation went to Iqra International School.
Idrees Lone (ACD Doda) graced the closing ceremony as chief guest along with Sarabjit Singh (International referee) as guest of honor. Idrees Lone presented a cash reward of Rs 5000 to the organizing committee.
Zaheer Khan (Treasurer JKTA), Vinod Grewal (National referee), Abdul Haq Zargar (AEE), Danish Manzoor (International athlete), Tanvir Ahmed Wani and many others were present during the event.
The championship was supported by many coaches and international athletes including Nadeem Zargar (Coach CSA), Anjum Ara (Coach, STA), Zain Nazir (International medallist) and Hashim Majeed (International player).
