POONCH, June 5: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Zone Poonch, organized the Inter-School Zone Level Taekwondo Competition as part of the 2025-26 activity calendar.
Over 120 students (under-14 and under-17 boys and girls) from various Government and private schools participated. The event was conducted under the supervision of ZPEO Poonch Sarla Bakshi, with Rajinder Singh, Taekwondo Coach of YSS, serving as the overall in-charge and technical head.
DYSSO Poonch Mohd Qasim inaugurated the competition. Other dignitaries included Vijay Kumar, activity in-charge, and officials Pawandeep Singh, Prabhjot Kour, Kernal Singh, Ritika Sharma and Sandeep Kumar. Ranajay Gupta, Mohd Shoieb, Subeg Singh, Shazad Ahmed and Aekta Kapoor were among the gold medallists.
