Taekwondo Championship culminates

POONCH, Oct 10: Three days ‘My Youth My Pride Taekwondo Championship’, organized by J&K Sports Council in collaboration with District Poonch Taekwondo Association, concluded at Indoor Complex, here today.
About 150 young budding boys and girls from every corner of District Poonch took Part in this event. The closing ceremony was witnessed by a large crowd of spectators comprising of people from almost all age groups with majority of the youth
The chief guest of the closing event was Sunil Sharma Chairman Municipality Committee, while Ajit Singh president District Table Tennis Association, and Er Saleem Bandey general secretary District TT Association was the guests of honour and Nusrat Hussain Shah, Jagmeet Singh, Amit Sharma Joint secretary PDTA was the special guests.
The events were held for both boys and girls age groups in the sub Junior 8-11 years, sub-junior boys and girls 11-14 years, cadet boys and girls 14-17 years junior boys and girls and 17 years above senior boys and girls
Earlier the August gathering was welcomed by Rajinder Singh Taekwondo coach and chairman Poonch Taekwondo. The championship was held under the overall supervision of I/c Manager Sports Stadium Poonch Bashir Ahmed.
All the matches were held under the technical supervision of Rajinder Singh Taekwondo Coach and National referee, Ashaq Hussain, Rupneet Kour, Mohd Sameer and Karan Bhargav, all district referees
