REASI, Nov 25: A T20 Cricket Tournament, organized by 126 Battalion, CRPF was inaugurated by Chandra Mohan, General Manager NHPC, Jyotipuram Reasi at playfield Jyotipuram, here this evening.
8 teams drawn from district Reasi are participating in the tournament, in which winner team will be awarded Rs 10,000, while runners-up will receive a cash prize of Rs 5000.
Dharam Prakash, second-in-command 126 battalion is organizing secretary of the tournament.
In the inaugural match, Talwara Cricket Club trounced NHPC Club to advance in the tournament, the final of which will be played on November 27, 2012.
In other matches, Ransoo Cricket Club defeated Salal Cricket Club, while Jyotipuram Cricket Club drubbed KCC to stay alive in the tournament.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were AS Chouhan, SP Reasi, RK Tyagi, Commandant CISF and Rajendra Singh Assistant Commandant.
