JAMMU, June 4: To encourage the Swimmers to raise their standard of performance at competitive level, a swimming competition was organized at KC Sports Club in which many young swimmers took part with great enthusiasm.
To accommodate as many swimmers as possible, heats were conducted to select the best swimmers on time basis.
Finally, the best of them vied with each other for the position of the winner.
In the final event conducted in under-10 age group in girls category in free style of swimming, Anika grabbed the first position while Simran and Samairah grabbed the second and third positions respectively. In under-12 boys category Anshul grabbed the first position while Arnav Chib and Ayush Parihar secured second and third position respectively.
In the under-12 girls category Sarah grabbed the first position, while Akshita Jain and Manya Jain clinched second and third positions respectively.
The gifted swimmers identified through these competitions would form a swimming team to represent KC Sports Club in various swimming competitions scheduled to be held this summer in Jammu or elsewhere in J&K.
