Sungli ‘A’ wins Sarthal Premier League title

KATHUA, July 16: Defeating Lone Brothers Bhaderwah by 6 wickets in the summit clash, Sungli ‘A’ Bhaderwah lifted the title trophy of the Sarthal Premier League, organized by Deva Enterprises in the memory of Dev Raj Thakur at Sarthal, Bani here.
Earlier, electing to bat first, Lone Brothers scored a modest total of 89 runs in the stipulated 15 overs.
In reply, Sungli ‘A’ scored the required runs in 14.1 overs by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets. Amjad was declared man of the match, while Mohd Alyas was adjudged man of the series.
The winners and runners-up teams were presented with the trophies, while the players of both the teams were awarded with a cash prize also.
The tournament was organized by Partap Singh, Mohinder Singh and Mohd Rafiq.
