JAMMU, Dec 31: Brilliant 55 runs off just 37 balls by Atul guided Sun n Sand to register win over Engineers XI by 6 wickets to sail into the next stage of the ongoing CII T-20 Corporate Cricket League, being played at KC Sports Club Ground, here.
The CII T-20 Corporate Cricket League is being organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Earlier, batting first, Engineers XI scored 103 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Vishal was the top scorer for Engineers XI with 36 runs, while Ravi scored 30 runs.
For Sun n Sand, Rahul took 2 wickets, while Sahil, Gagandeep and Vicky scalped one wicket each.
Sun n Sand chased the target easily by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Atul was the top scorer with 55 runs.
For Engineers XI, Nomit bowled well and took 2 wickets, while Provin and Rana shared 1 wicket each.
On the valedictory function, Vivek Bhardwaj, Head CII J&K State, presented man of the match trophy to Atul for his splendid batting performance.
CII, keeping up with its promise to promote sports in J&K is organizing the first edition of CII Corporate Cricket League. 10 teams from Corporate Sector, Banks and Government Departments are competing for the title trophy.
