JAMMU, May 29: Parade Sports Association in collaboration with Laxmi Cricket Club will be organizing the 4th Summer Cricket Camp for boys & girls (12 to 16 years) at Parade Ground, Jammu from June 9 for three weeks to chisel and polish the budding cricketers of Jammu.
The camp will be overseen by Vijay Sabarwal, who is the President and Desh Rattan Dubey, who is the Chairman of Parade Sports Association. The camp shall commence under the supervision of senior Ranji Trophy Cricketers Harsh Nayyar shall be the Chief Organizer, Sameer Khajuria, R S Jamwal, Anju Gupta, Pardeep Bali, Randhir Singh, Rohit Bhatt and Vikram Dogra shall be the coaches.
Two former Captains of J&K Ranji Trophy, Sanjay Sharma and Kavaljeet Singh along with a Senior Ranji Player Ranjit Bali shall provide their expertise to the learners. Senior cricketers Kapil Dev Mahajan, Pawan Gupta and Adv. Rajesh Jaitly shall be the organizing secretaries of this camp.
Along with coaching, lectures for learning different techniques of fielding, batting, bowling and wicket-keeping shall be delivered by the senior experienced cricketers of national level. Physical fitness shall be the important event of the camp. The players shall also be taught Yoga and Meditation techniques which are important for their mental fitness.
Routine Medical checkup and required possible lab investigations shall also be arranged during the camp. Players shall be individually guided for their health status and required diet factors for their physical and mental development. In addition, applied techniques of physiotherapy shall also be detailed by the experts.
