JAMMU, June 10: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages inaugurated the Summer Children Workshops in the discipline of painting, theatre and dance at KL Saigal Hall, Cultural Academy, here today.
Savita Bakshi, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Sitar expert today inaugurated the workshops in the presence of large number of children, parents and the members of the civil society.
While speaking on the occasion, Bakshi said that children have a lot of flow of energy and through these workshops they get a platform to explore their talent and channelize their energy.
Dr Sudhir Mahajan, Senior Drama Instructor and Incharge SOCA-G-1 while giving the details of the workshops said these workshops have been designed in such a way where the values are inculcated with the nourishment of culture as supplement.
Randhir Kumar, choreographer is the dance instructor, Bhupinder Singh, SSA, Bishan Dass JSA and Suman Bala are the music, associate dance instructor and painting instructors respectively.
These workshops will be concluded on June 25 and June 26, 2013 with the performances of children and the distribution of participation certificates.
