Sumit guides Vridhi Royals to register berth in final

JAMMU, Feb 8: Brilliant knock of 103 runs by Sumit Kumar guided Vridhi Royals to beat Pt Prem Nath Dogra Cricket Club by a huge margin of 145 runs and register berth in the final of the ongoing KCSC U-19 (40 overs) Cricket Tournament here today.
In the second semis, batting first after winning the toss, Vridhi Royals made 284 runs in 40 overs. Sumit Kumar played a splendid inning of 103 runs whereas Archit Mahajan scored 52 runs. Arya Thakur and Samarpit chipped in 38 runs each.
From bowling side, Aquib and Yuvraj took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Pt Prem Nath Dogra Cricket Club failed to chase the target and bundled out at paltry 139 runs in 29 overs by losing all the wickets. Dinesh made 26 runs, while Sarthak and Dhruv scored 25 runs each.
From Vridhi Royals, Sannat took 4 wickets whereas Vishal and Sachin shared 3 wickets each.
Sumit Kumar of Vridhi Royals was declared as Man of the Match and was presented with a trophy and gift coupon from West Side.
