BARAMULLA, Oct 15: A sports lover and the owner of Sultan Warrior’s Cricket Club, Arif Kataria came forward to support six cricket players after their selection in the trials conducted at Jhelum Stadium, here today.
Number of cricket enthusiasts from different areas of this district participated in the trial process held under the guidance of noted cricketers of the Valley.
The best six players will be sent to outside UT for professional cricket training and coaching at the best cricket academies of the country.
Organiser of the event told Excelsior that there is a lot of potential in cricket and youth are very happy after participating in the trial runs.
Participants said that they are happy that the Sultan Warrior’s Cricket Club has provided them a chance to participate in trials and are hopeful that they will get through the trial and would get a chance to play on state and national levels.
The list of probable selectees in the talent hunt includes Danish, Adnan Ashraf, Masif Bashir, Aqib Mushtaq, Salman Gojri and Arbaz.
