MUMBAI, Jul 13: Siddharth Suchde of Maharashtra and Sandeep Jangra of Delhi entered the men’s fifth qualifying round in the 73rd Senior National Squash Championship at the Otters Club here today.
Suchde got past Aran Thawani 11-4 11-4 11-4 while Jangra halted local lad Pranay Jain 11-8 11-5 11-6 to inch closer to the main draw.
Top seed in the qualifiers, Gaurav Nandrajog of Delhi, Hiteshwar Singh Riar of Chandigarh and Adhitya Raghavan of Tamil Nadu were the other significant winners to roll into the fifth round along with Delhi’s Robin Mann Singh.
Advait Adik, of the host club, overcame India under-19 No. 10 Ajit Sharma 11-7 11-8 6-11 12-10 in a thriller. (PTI)
