JAMMU, Mar 2: Banyan International School, managed in association with Pearson Schools participated in fund raising for a noble cause in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity-an NGO that builds homes and provides housing related services to low -income marginalized families across India.
Students of Banyan International School educated their local communities about affordable housing issues and the work of Habitat for Humanity and raised funds for the construction of homes and sanitation facility for the under privileged. Students were awarded with certificates and badge
The highest fund raiser, Master Amitesh Choudhary was presented with a North-East United FC football along with a certificate duly autographed by famous Bollywood actor John Abraham who is also the brand ambassador for the cause. Anirudh and Hitaishi, the second highest fund raisers, were presented with Autographed mugs and certificates.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal, T.R. Ramesh said that the students of Banyan International School must continue to associate themselves with social causes and develop the lifelong value of empathy for the underprivileged sections of the society.
