JAMMU, Mar 24: Striker Cricket Club and Boley Nath Cricket Club defeated their rivals in the ongoing 1st SP Smart T20 Cup 2016, being organised by Vicky Raina and his team at MA Stadium, here.
Striker Club defeated Abrar Cricket Club by 5 wickets in an easy contest. Batting first, Abrar Club scored 164 runs in 20 overs. Ishtiaq and Satish were the main scorers with 44 and 19 runs respectively. Irshad took 4 important wickets for Striker Cricket Club, while Yogesh claimed one.
In reply, Striker CC scored the required runs by losing 5 wickets to win the match by 5 wickets. Vikram top scored with 48 runs, while Anil and Sachin contributed 46 and 22 runs to the total respectively. Dilbagh was the pick of the bowlers for Abrar Cricket Club, who captured 4 wickets by conceding 15 runs in 4 overs. Vikram was declared as man of the match.
In another match, Boley Nath Cricket Club defeated Khalsa Cricket Club by 37 runs. Boley Nath Club scored 140 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Panku (31) and Raman (27) were the main contributors. Ricky and Mannu claimed 2 wickets each for Khalsa Cricket Club.
In reply, Khalsa Club bundled out for 103 runs. Ricky scored 22 runs. Raman and Mannu scalped 3 wickets each for Boley Nath Cricket Club.
The matches were officiated by Vikas and Deepak as umpires, while Sahil was the scorer.
