JAMMU, Sept 2: Sambo Association of J&K conducted an executive board meeting wherein office bearers chalked out a strategy for the upcoming Sambo events in the J&K, here today.
The meeting was presided over by the president Amit Vaid and Aruna Sharma Bhau, general secretary of the Association wherein other office bearers including Sanklap Kamal vice president, Aman Sharma joint secretary, Vikas Bhardwaj treasurer and chief technical director Brijesh Bhau participated.
Amit Vaid informed that the Sambo Association of J&K is an affiliated unit of Sambo India Association which is already affiliated with the Sambo Union of Asia (SUA), International Sambo Federation (FIAS). “The sport of Sambo has been listed as one of the OCA recognized sports and full IOC recognition to the International Sambo Federation (FIAS) has been issued by the International Olympic Committee,” he informed.
