Stephen CA, Game Changers emerge winners

1st Trikuta Challenge Cup

JAMMU, Sept 11: Trouncing their rivals convincingly in the ongoing First Trikuta Challenges Cup, Stephen CA and Game Changers scripted emphatic wins over Trikuta CA and Mier CA by 4 wickets and 57 runs respectively, being played at Railway Ground, here today.
The first match was played between Stephens CA and Trikuta CA wherein the latter defeated the former by 4 wickets.
Batting first, Trikuta CA scored 105 runs by losing all wickets in 24.2 overs against the stipulated 30 overs. Manav scored 27 runs, Sadiq and Aditya contributed 17 and 16 runs respectively. For Stephens CA, Sanjog took four wickets and Saksham clinched two wickets.
In reply, Stephens CA chased the target in just 16 overs and made 110 runs on the loss of six wickets and won the match by four wickets. Sanjog made highest 42 runs and remained not out, while Saksham and Madhav scored 16 and 13 runs respectively. For Trikuta CA, Aditya took three wickets. Sanjog was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant performance with the bat and bowl.
In the 2nd match which was played between Game Changer and Mier CA wherein former won the toss and elected to bat first against Mier CA. They scored 170 runs in stipulated 30 overs by losing eight wickets. For Game Changers, Shorya scored 39 runs and Harman made 25 runs. For Mier CA, Sagar took four wickets and Bhumesh clinched three wickets.
In reply, Mier CA bundled out at 113 runs. Bhumesh and Aryan scored 30 and 29 runs respectively. For Game Changers, Aryan took five wickets and Aquib grabbed two wickets. Thus, Game Changers won by 57 runs and reached the final. Aryan was declared as man of the match for his five wickets haul.
The matches were officiated by Balbir Singh, Sukomal Ganguly and Danish Atri.
The tournament is being conducted by Trikuta Cricket Academy under the supervision of Balbir Singh and Sukomal Ganguly.
